A former coaching inn located on the main road between Colmar and Munster, La Nouvelle Auberge has retained its original function, serving lunchtime menus and market cuisine in the ground floor bistro, based on rigorous value for money.

The soul of this cuisine is also its region, the Vallée de Munster, an unspoilt natural setting in the heart of Alsace. The chef naturally draws on this proximity, a culture of sharing that is evident not only in the Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant, but also in the village bistro where the stammtisch – the locals – gather every day to enjoy the chef’s cooking. He maintains a very strong human bond with those around him, creating with his wife Martine, a real team spirit, where each member of the brigade is supported to give the best of himself.

Family cooking revisited with Michelin-starred expertise
For their village bistro, Martine and Bernard Leray have decided to stick to the fundamentals of their cuisine: a rigorous daily selection of fresh local produce from partner producers and a demanding execution by the brigade – always at the service of taste. Every day, the menus are revised by the chef according to what’s available. The recipes are based on traditional Alsatian home cooking.
Le Bistrot seats 30 and is open for lunch in a warm, family atmosphere. Dishes are served à la carte or on the menu, offering a gastronomic experience accessible to all, with a price-pleasure ratio as attractive as it is rare.
